For years, safety training has meant putting employees in a classroom, giving them information and expecting them to act on it. But what employees know about safety and what they actually do are often very different. This 60-minute session on employee safety training effectiveness tackles that gap.
How content is developed, delivered, supported and received matters as much as the content itself. You'll learn the REP approach: making information make sense (Rational), showing employees what's in it for them (Emotional), and creating a work environment that reinforces the training afterward (Physical).
The session also shares tips for keeping employees engaged and coaching positive behavior change long after training ends.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Organizations spend a lot of time, money and energy on safety training, yet many treat it as a box to tick, even though it can be the difference between a safe and an unsafe act. Making training more engaging and effective doesn't take huge effort, just attention to a few things that matter most.
This session is for safety directors, risk managers, personnel directors, HR and anyone who delivers safety training to employees.
