Rudeness costs businesses millions each year, and while knowledge and technology keep advancing, basic social values that affect the bottom line are slipping. This 60-minute workplace civility training tackles the growing problem of incivility at work.
You'll learn what civility is, why it matters to a company, and its typical causes and effects, including at least three behavioral indicators. The session covers the costs of incivility, the rewards of a civil workplace for productivity and retention, and which behaviors count as uncivil.
It also teaches practical etiquette, such as greetings, respect, involvement and political correctness, skills for diagnosing uncivil behavior, facilitative communication and ways to build civility into the organization.
